Sierra Pool Closure

We’re excited to share that the City is moving forward with important upgrades to the Sierra Recreation Center. 

Beginning Tuesday, September 8, the pool deck and playground areas will be closed as we replaster the pool, replace aging equipment, and complete several additional enhancements. These improvements are expected to take approximately 12 weeks with a tentative completion by Thanksgiving weekend.

What will remain open for use:

  • Sierra Recreation Center Courts — tennis, basketball, and pickleball courts open during regular hours
  • Sierra Recreation Center Gym — open during regular hours
  • Montanoso Recreation Center — pool and gym available to all recreation and pickleball members throughout the project

Drop-in patrons under 18 years of age must have a parent/legal guardian present with them to sign them into the facility. Parent waiver must be on file for any children not accompanied by a parent/legal guardian. Please see our Facilities page to download the waiver.

*Waterslide is available Saturdays from noon – 4 p.m., beginning Memorial Day weekend.

*Make your last splash of the season on Saturday, September 5, 2026! The waterslide will close for the season following this date.

Montanoso Splash Pad

Cool off and have fun in our zero-depth water play area, complete with interactive sprayers, misters, and dumping buckets. 

Splash pad open daily 10:30 am to dusk and is available year-round.

Children age 6 and younger must be accompanied by an adult age 18 or older. Parent waiver must be on file for any children not accompanied by a parent/legal guardian. Please see our Facilities page to download the waiver. 

Reminders:

  • Parties of 13 or more attendees are required to make arrangements with the facility manager prior to their arrival so a proper lifeguard to patron ratio can be met.
  • Showering before entering the pool is encouraged.
  • No hanging on or swimming over lane lines.
  • Spa capacity will be enforced. A max time of 25 minutes in spa is encouraged. Children 11 and younger cannot use the spa.
  • No flotations devices other than US Coast Guard approved lifejackets allowed.
  • Swim tests are required daily for children 11 and younger who plan to swim in the deep end or alone.
