At Mission Viejo Animal Services we love hearing from our adopters whether it's been several weeks or several years since they took their new family member home. In this update we get a two for one since they adopted two cats from us back in 2021and 2022. Tweety, now Harvey, came in as a kitten in July of 2021 with four other siblings. Shredder was found with some other strays who were possibly siblings at around 5 months of age in August of 2022. I am just writing to give you a brief update and thank you for facilitating the adoption of two of my three cats, Harvey (formerly Tweety) in 2021, and Shredder (formerly Shredder) in 2022. We love them to death, and they’re both doing great. Harvey is a pretty timid guy, but he loves bedtime cuddles, and Shredder loves everything and is loved by everyone.
Harvey has had a few medical scares: he once got a dry blade of grass in his actual eyeball (terrifying, right?!), and then he had an abscess on his back he needed surgery for, but he recovered beautifully from both, thanks to his awesome doctors at Marguerite Animal Hospital and VCA Olympiad (and his mommy who fed him his meds and administered his eye drops and changed his onesie so he didn’t chew up his stitches).
Shredder is so playful and agile, and loves interacting with everything and everyone, especially his cat sitter Marissa, who tends to them when we’re out of town. He was the perfect third cat to make friends with Harvey and give our elderly 11-year old queen of the house, Wynsi, a break from playtime.
