In honor of Bike Safety Month, the City of Mission Viejo rolled out another temporary pumptrack through June 13. The track will be situated along the Oso Creek Trail, east of the Village Green next to the outdoor fitness equipment at 24932 Veterans Way.
A pumptrack is a closed circuit track consisting of rollers, banked turns, and other features that allow riders to use their momentum to propel themselves forward. It's a fun and challenging way to practice bike skills and improve fitness.
The track will be available free to the public through June 13 between the hours of 7 am to dusk. We encourage the community to enjoy our trail system and we hope this temporary amenity encourages more people to explore the Oso Creek Trail. As a reminder, wear a properly fitted helmet, follow the posted rules and the track is for non-motorized bicycles and scooters.
