In a highlight of our yearlong celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, the City is hosting a once-in-a-lifetime Mission Viejo Parade on July 11. The parade kicks off at 9 am in front of St. Kilian Church at 26872 Estanciero Drive along Marguerite Parkway turns onto La Paz Road and ends at the BBQ Music Fest at Oso Viejo Community Park, 24932 Veterans Way.
This spectacular event will draw participants and spectators from around the area and will celebrate the history and fabric of our vibrant community. With around 80 participating organizations, the parade will include the Marine Corps Marching Band and other musical groups; floats depicting our history; a Clydesdale-drawn carriage; classic cars and vintage vehicles; costumed dancers; youth and community groups, and much more.
Residents, businesses and visitors should be aware of these road closures to facilitate the parade, and available parking shuttles for folks who park at Mission Viejo High School and the Norman P. Murray Community Center.
Mission Viejo residents can obtain FREE Saturday morning tickets to attend the BBQ Music Fest following the parade by registering at this link. The public can also get an up-close view of the memorable vehicles in the parade at the Classic Car Display from 10 am to 2 pm.
