The Mission Viejo Nadadores and City of Mission Viejo’s Sports and Events Tourism Committee are inviting local families to participate in a “Future Champions Free Diving Lesson” on Saturday, May 16 at the Marguerite Aquatics Complex, 27474 Casta Del Sol.

This community event is part of a broader effort to engage residents in sports that will take center stage when countries from all over the world descend on Los Angeles in 2028.

One of the nation’s most respected diving programs, the Nadadores will offer three free sessions – 1:30-2:30 pm; 2:30-3:30 pm; and 3:30-4:30 pm – designed to introduce young athletes ages 6-13 to the fundamentals of diving.

Each session is limited to 20 divers, available on a first‑come, first‑served basis. Participants will enjoy hands‑on instruction that includes trampoline work, tumbling, and in‑water training led by experienced Nadadores coaches. All participants must be comfortable swimming in deep water.

This free community lesson reflects the City’s and the Nadadores’ shared commitment to inspiring youth, promoting healthy activity, and building excitement for the sports that will shine on the world stage in Los Angeles in 2028. By offering accessible opportunities to try different disciplines, Mission Viejo continues to strengthen its reputation as a premier destination for sports and events tourism.

Registration is now open and available here. Families are encouraged to reserve their spot early.
