With hundreds of athletes taking part in the annual Orange County Multi-Sport Festival (formerly OC Triathlon) on Sunday, April 26, the City is reminding residents to be aware of road closures in place.
This Olympic-distance event traverses Mission Viejo neighborhoods and surrounding communities and includes swim competitions in Lake Mission Viejo. The events include an Olympic triathlon; sprint triathlon; duathlon relay; aquabike; kids’ triathlon; and a 5K.
Residents should be aware of the following road closures on April 26:
- Marguerite Parkway: Mustang Run to El Toro from 5-9 am
- Marguerite Parkway: Vista del Lago to Mustang Run from 5-11 am
- Los Alisos Blvd: Vista Del Lago to Mustang Run from 5-11 am
- Olympiad Road: Melinda to Marguerite from 5-11 am
- Mustang Run: Los Alisos Blvd to Marguerite Parkway from 5 - 11 am
Note: Lake Mission Viejo will remain open to athletes and lake members. Vista del Lago will remain open. Additional intersections may incur delays. See a detour map here.
